I was born in Halesworth in Suffolk in 1964.I always loved drawing and as soon as I was allowed (age 16) left school and went to Art College. Later I studied for an Honours Degree in English and started to teach English to High School students but this was not the career for me (too many rules and regulations). I now work as an adult tutor for Arts and Crafts.
I get most of my inspiration from Suffolk itself but also from American Folk Art
which is often very colourful. We tend to take our immediate surroundings for granted
but if you think about it there are many things in Norfolk and Suffolk that you wouldn’t
find anywhere else in the world-
My ambitions are to visit Mexico, to learn to stand on my head and to persuade Hallmark to buy some of my designs.
